In my quest of discovering where my feathers will one day land, last year somewhere along the way, I stumbled upon this reputable cost of living survey: Mercer 2008 Cost of Living Survey From what I have gathered, Mercer's study is very in-depth and can be a good judge of how a city weighs up due to the fact that they analyze multiple factors and take into account numerous economic influences on each market.
